Berekum East Npp Executives Fights Berekumman Citizens Association Over Toilet Reconstruction

BEREKUM EAST CONSTITUENCY NPP EXECUTIVES FIGHT'S BEREKUMMAN CITIZENS ASSOCIATION AS THEY DEMOLISHED DEATH TRAP TOILET IN BEREKUM MAIN STATION.

The people of Berekum in the Bono region, both home and abroad, coming together to form Berekumman Citizens Association have got good intention to build a world class and ultra modern toilet facility for the people of Berekum.

The current toilet facility is dilapidated and death trap at the Berekum main station, the situation which is causing health hazards is unfortunate.

The public toilet at the Berekum main station poses nuisance and hazardous health threats to the traders, commuters, drivers and the people living around the station.

The existing toilet facility was half way demolished to pave way for a new ultra modern facility to be constructed but the demolition has attracted the wrath of the Berekum East NPP Party executive who use the toilet as the source of revenue to run the party activities such as attending funerals, birthday party, weddings of their party members.

The toilet, being managed by Berekum East NPP party executives, do not account to anybody neither to the chiefs and people in the town but takes all the proceeds from the toilet which led the Traditional Council and the Association to effect the demolition process on Sunday morning.

The association has already petitioned the Berekum Municipal Assembly to allow them to construct an ultra modern toilet for the people of Berekum but voted against that decision of rebuilding the toilet at their just ended assembly dissolution meeting.

The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area, Dasebre Dr.  Amankona Diawuo II and his divisional chiefs who have considered the proposed plans of the association to build ultra modern toilet facility at the main station finally granted the order to demolished the old toilet.

The traditional council granted the association an order to demolish the current toilet structure to construct a new modern one to uplift the face of the golden city.

The association has complied with the Omanhene's order and has done justice to the old dilapidated toilet at the Berekum Station.

The information gathered by alrich24newsgh.com has it that, the Berekum East NPP party executive members are ill blood of the move of the association to demolish the toilet for an ultra modern  facility with a police post built-in and are calling for the arrest of the association leaders.

The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area in the Berekum Municipal of the Bono Region Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II has passed on. The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum.
