HON. KWAKU AGYENIM BOATENG SECURES GHC 2 MILLIIN TO CONSTRUCT DRAINAGE SYSTEM.
The Member of Parliament (MP)for Berekum West Constituency in the Bono Region and Deputy Minister of Railways, Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng has secured an amount of Ghc2,000,000.00 funding from the government to construct concrete drains in the Jinijini township.
The construction which is currently ongoing the district capital, is one of the major developmental projects the people in the town has been calling for. The situation has been very terrible and life threatening whenever it rains.
Speaking on behalf of the MP, Hon. Peter Asoma Boampong, the NPP chairman for the constituency said the drainage system construction which commenced from the Jinijini market will pass through the streets of Ward C and Ward D to connect to the Ayimom road to enable easy accessibility to other parts of town.
He said, the MP has taken into consideration a great deal to support his constituency in many infrastructural development as evident now. He continued the drainage system under construction is a solution to greater challenge in the town.
Chairman Peter Asoma Boapong emphasized that, the MP is working hard to transform the constituency with his numerous plans that are yet materialize including construction of road within the district. He commended the MP to keep up the good work he is doing for the people of Berekum West.
The MP has again undertaken major projects at Nkyenkyemamu and Botokrom where health centres with bore holes have been constructed for the people in the area.
The constituency Chairman promised that every community in the district will benefit from the developmental projects ongoing and that the MP is keen to fulfill all his promises made to the them.
Some market women and traders at the Jinijini market who are mostly affected whenever it rains, expressed their gratitude to the MP for coming to their aid and recounted how it has affected their business for years.
They pledged their support towards the project and praised the MP for fulfilling his promise.
