BESSOSA 2001 DONATED TO THEIR ALMA MATER
The Old Students of Berekum Senior High School in the Bono Region who completed in the year 2001 has done it again and this time round, donated 155 bags of cement. The donation was in support of ongoing building projects in the school.
This is the second time the year group is donating items to the school as part of their support in seeing the progress and development of their Alma mater.
They donated street bulbs early this year to curb darkness on the campus.
On behalf of the 2001 year group, Mr. Asare Bediako Seth (ABS) presented 155 bags of cements to the school said, " we the 2001 year group are ever poised to always support our alma mater because of the numerous benefits we have gained from the school."
He said, the association is fully aware of challenges being faced including accommodation for teachers and students, transportation and dining hall turned into classroom, lack of facilities for over 2000 students amongst others. And continued that, the donation was made possible by individual contributions and support, and that it will help solve classrooms constructions on going.
He emphasized that, this donation will not be the last and called his colleagues who were once students of Berekum Senior High School to support in cash or kind.
The Headmaster Mr. Ebenazer Ayensu Kwagyire receiving the cement thanked the 2001 year group for their kind gesture towards the school's developmental projects reiterated challenges the school is currently facing and said lack of bungalow to monitor the students, lack of school bus, assembly hall, uncompleted walling of the school to protect the students due to land litigations. He therefore called on authorities to intervene on their behalf.
He appreciated the government for the intervention and said the school still needs more support therefore all hands should be on deck to support the future generation of our country.
He then challenged other year groups to emulate the 2001 group and support their Alma mater.
