Inmates of Sunyani Central Prisons Female Yard in Need of Storage Facility. The female inmates of the Sunyani Central Prisons of the Bono region now facing crises in terms of food security and its storage at the yard. The only yard for female inmates do not have a storage facility like deep freezer, chest freezer or fridge to store their food they consume at the place especially most of the leftovers food for the next day. In an interview with the Chaplain of Bono, Bono East and Ahafo region Prisons Service, Rev. CSP Gedion Ndebugri has made an appeal to the general public to support the female inmates to get a storage facility like deed freezer to help store their leftover foods at the yard. He said, as human beings, you cannot in a day eat everything you cook, therefore some of the food needs to be store for safe keep until they are used and without fridge, the life at the prison which is the place of reformation and correctional center of the prisons will become another headache for...

Koforidua Police Nabs 28- Year Old Serial Break-In Suspect During Festive Crackdown. The New-Juaben South Municipal Police Command has arrested a suspected serial shop break-in culprit in Koforidua as part of intensified festive-season security operations that also led to the arrest of 28 other suspects for various criminal offences. Addressing the media on 30th December 2025 at the Municipal Police Command, the Municipal Police Commander, Superintendent Ransford Nsiah , said the key suspect, Ibrahim Mutawakiru , aged 33, was arrested in the early hours of Monday, 29th December 2025, after Police patrols foiled a carefully planned series of shop break-ins along Legend Street at the Adwenpa Curtain area.  The suspect, who operates across Hohoe , Nkawkaw , Koforidua, and Accra , had allegedly conducted surveillance in the area for several days before attempting to access multiple shops through their roofing and ceilings. Monica Dompre Foundation, Non-Governmental Organization NGO based in Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region which is owns and operated by Mrs. Monica Dompre as part of her charitable activities for the 2nd time in this year has feed the inmates of Sunyani Central Prisons both the male and female inmates. The initiative which forms part of the NGO objective for the past 3 years has been visiting the inmates with food and also being their back bone to support some of the inmates by paying their academic fees especially those pursuing their education from the prison.
