Monica Dompre Foundation Fetes Sunyani Central Prisons Inmate With Over 1000 Package Cooked Food.

Monica Dompre Foundation, Non-Governmental Organization NGO based in Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region which is owns and operated by Mrs. Monica Dompre as part of her charitable activities for the 2nd time in this year has feed the inmates of Sunyani Central Prisons both the male and female inmates.


The initiative which forms part of the NGO objective for the past 3 years has been visiting the inmates with food and also being their back bone to support some of the inmates by paying their academic fees especially those pursuing their education from the prison.


The already cooked foods with soft drinks each was packed purposely to serve the inmates to have a feel of the Christmas season as everyone is eating in their various homes for their relaxation in one way or the other.

Speaking on behalf of Madam Monica Dompre, the Nsumankeaahemaa of Nsuatre Traditional Area, Nana Abenaa Kyereaa Kentenbutu Kweedom, said, it has been part of Monica Dompre Foundation to ensure they will reach out to every individual in society who may need a helping hand in life and the inmates cannot be left out of their plans.


She said, is a good move to assist the inmates therefore calls on other well meaning Ghanaians to always be in the aid of the prison inmates.


On behalf of Prison Inmates, the Chaplain of the Bono and Ahafo Prisons, Rev CSP Gedion Ndebugri commended the Monica Dompre Foundation for their initiative to visit the inmates by way of feeding them.

Rev. CSP Gedion Ndebugri again made an appeal to the general public to support the female inmates to get a storage facility like deed freezer to help them store their leftover foods at their yard.

25-Year-Old Young Man Electrocuted in Berekum . A suspected thief by the name Oboshie in his 25 years has been electrocuted at Berekum Nyamebekyere in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region . According to eye-witnesses, the suspected thief's lifeless body was found on the food vendor metal container as he attempted to steal from the container of the vendor who operates in a metal container. His death attracted a crowd of the Berekum people to the scene on the street of Nyamebekyere as everyone wants to catch a glimpse of the deceased over the incident of frequent robbery attacks and stealing in the Municipality.
