Over 10,000 People Screened in Berekum Through Free Medical Outreach by Berekumman Citizens Association and Ghana Medical Relief. A number of over 10000 people in Berekum who were suffering from various diseases has have the opportunity to be screened and treated freely in Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region. The free medical outreach programme which was initiated and sponsored by the Berekumman Citizens Association in collaboration with the Ghana Medical Relief which was held at the Holy Family Hospital with support from Ghana Health Services brought joy to thousands of people living in Berekum and it's environs. Some of the beneficiaries who shown up for the event highly has expressed their appreciation to the team who brought the program to Berekum to screen them freely with the treatment associated with it. Philanthropic NGO Rescues Nursing Mothers Detained Over Medical Bills at Tema Urban Hospital. In a heartwarming act of charity, the God's Coming Kingdom Foundation, a non-governmental organization, has stepped in to settle the medical bills of several nursing mothers who were unable to leave the Maternity Ward at Tema Urban Hospital due to outstanding debts. Led by Chairperson Madam Rebecca Kaaley, the foundation, established by Mr. Solomon Abronoma Nyarko, who is based in Holland, facilitated the timely intervention. Madam Kaaley, speaking with Alrich24newsgh.blogspot.com news reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel, revealed that these mothers and their newborns had recovered but were being detained because they couldn't afford their medical expenses, some of which reportedly amounted to as much as GHC 3,300.00.
