Philanthropic NGO Rescues Nursing Mothers Detained Over Medical Bills at Tema Urban Hospital.

In a heartwarming act of charity, the God's Coming Kingdom Foundation, a non-governmental organization, has stepped in to settle the medical bills of several nursing mothers who were unable to leave the Maternity Ward at Tema Urban Hospital due to outstanding debts.

Led by Chairperson Madam Rebecca Kaaley, the foundation, established by Mr. Solomon Abronoma Nyarko, who is based in Holland, facilitated the timely intervention. Madam Kaaley, speaking with Alrich24newsgh.blogspot.com news reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel, revealed that these mothers and their newborns had recovered but were being detained because they couldn't afford their medical expenses, some of which reportedly amounted to as much as GHC 3,300.00.

"We are here to rescue nursing mothers who have been detained for being unable to pay medical bills," Madam Kaaley stated, emphasizing the foundation's commitment. She further explained, "Our mission is to extend a helping hand to those in need, and we chose Tema Urban Hospital in Tema because this is our community."

The God's Coming Kingdom Foundation undertakes this philanthropic initiative twice a year, consistently assisting patients, particularly those who have undergone Caesarean sections or faced complications during childbirth, and are burdened by high medical costs. Madam Kaaley underscored that these efforts align with the foundation's broader goal of reducing maternal mortality and contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals.

The NGO is dedicated to spreading "God's love by bringing smiles to the faces of the needy and underprivileged through impactful social interventions and community development programs."

Mrs. Matilda Ama Akwafo, the Principal Nursing Officer in charge of the ward, expressed profound gratitude to the foundation in her remarks to Accra fm/CTV news. She highlighted the pervasive issue of patient detention over unpaid bills in healthcare facilities across the country and made a fervent appeal to corporate institutions and philanthropists to emulate the foundation's gesture.

Several beneficiary mothers, visibly relieved, conveyed their heartfelt thanks to the God's Coming Kingdom Foundation NGO and its founder, Mr. Solomon Abronoma Nyarko, for their crucial and generous support.
