Berekum West MP and DCE Commissions 6-Unit Classroom to Transform Educational Infrastructure.

In an attempt to secure the future of education in the Berekum West District of the Bono region, the MP together with the DCE have taken the step to address the district's educational infrastructure.

In less than two years, some schools in the district are receiving a facelift in infrastructure development to ensure that education in the area is up to the standard.

At Amankwaa, a community in the district which has suffered for many years without a primary school and only resorts to people's homes and houses for their primary school education, has now got a 6-unit classroom block with other auxiliary facilities.

At the commissioning and handing over ceremony of the 6-unit classroom block to the chiefs and people of Amankwakwaa, the MP of Berekum West, Hon. Dickson Kyere-Duah, emphasised that education is one of his priorities and he is working very hard to ensure he delivers the mandate assigned to him.

He said quality education goes with better infrastructure, and that is what he is doing to make sure every child in the district will have access to quality education.

He said, he will never relent to deliver what the people are demanding from especially when it comes to roads, education, health and other social amenities.

Hon. Kyere-Duah explained that, the 6-unit classroom block with other auxiliary facilities including library and ICT lab, staff common room and store room with cemented floor is a design he plan to build across other schools.

On his part, the DCE of Berekum West, Hon Collins Asoma, also assured the people that the assembly is working around the clock to provide quality education to the people in the area and other developmental projects.

He said, the assembly is working to build better education facilities to support the children academic activities.

The District Education Director of Berekum West, Mr David Owusu Ansah also commended the MP and the DCE for seeing the plight of the children of Amankwakwaa primary school to construct for them a 6-unit classroom block.

He said, the structure of the block is exactly what they have been praying for and believes this will go a long way to enhance education development in the district.

The Chief of Amankwaa, Nana Kusi Amoah Gyan, also expressed his appreciation to the government, MP and DCE for given the people such a classroom block since their children for years has suffered to get a place for their primary school education.

He again requested that, community lacks so many things, and as Oliver Twist always ask, there are some other amenities they lack and pleaded on the authorities to come to their aid.
