MP of Berekum West Commissions First Ever Toilet Facility at Nanasuano After Several Years of Neglect.


Residents of Nanasuano in the Berekum West District of the Bono region are now relieved and for the first time received their share of the public fund as MP of Berekum West commissions public toilet facility for the residents of Nanasuano after years without toilet.


The community of over 1500 people were not having a place of convenience and the people used to defecate in polythene bags and bush but a new public toilet facility constructed is ready to boost their sanitation situation in the country. 


At the commissioning ceremony, the MP of Berekum West Constituency Hon. Dickson Kyere-Duah aka Stugard together with the DCE Hon. Collins Asoma delivered on their mandate to commission and hand over a newly constructed toilet facility to the people to enhance the community the health and sanitation challenges.

The MP Hon. Dickson Kyere-Duah explained that, they are prepared to work assiduously to ensure all the 20 Communities within the Berekum West Constituency will have their share of the national cake to bring development to the residents.


The DCE of Berekum East, Hon. Collins Asoma also added that, previous NPP government disappointed the people of Berekum West and failed them to complete a number  of 13 toilet facilities that they initiated at different communities to construct for the people but he as a DCE is working to finish all the facilities for the beneficiary communities and work extra to add more project to every community in the area.


The Chief of Nanasuano, Nana Osei Amankwaa assured that, the toilet facility will be maintained to make good use of it to serve the purpose for which it was constructed and thanked the MP and the DCE for coming to their aid to save them at a time they were having no place to deficate.



Some of the residents, Dabia Rabbi explained that, it was true for some years that, the people have gone through a lot especially the women in the town since there wasn't any place for defication and commended the MP and the DCE for the project.

25-Year-Old Young Man Electrocuted in Berekum . A suspected thief by the name Oboshie in his 25 years has been electrocuted at Berekum Nyamebekyere in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region . According to eye-witnesses, the suspected thief's lifeless body was found on the food vendor metal container as he attempted to steal from the container of the vendor who operates in a metal container. His death attracted a crowd of the Berekum people to the scene on the street of Nyamebekyere as everyone wants to catch a glimpse of the deceased over the incident of frequent robbery attacks and stealing in the Municipality.
