Government Approves Payment of Salary Arrears for Nurses and Midwives.


1. The Ministry of Health has successfully concluded negotiations 

regarding the payment of salary arrears owed to nurses and midwives 

posted in the 2024/2025 recruitment year.

2. Following extensive engagements with the Ministry of Finance, 

approval has been granted for the outstanding arrears to be paid in four 

(4) instalments from April through July.

3. Approved Payment Schedule

• April – Two (2) months

• May – Three (3) months

• June – Three (3) months

• July – Three (3) months

4. This structured payment arrangement underscores Government’s 

firm commitment to clearing all outstanding obligations in a timely, 

responsible, and sustainable manner.

5. The Ministry of Health commends the nurses and midwives for their 

patience, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to service 

delivery despite the delays experienced.

6. The Ministry also expresses sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Finance for the priority attention and urgency given to this matter.

   7.  Government remains steadfast in its commitment to the welfare, 

motivation, and well-being of all health workers across the country.

25-Year-Old Young Man Electrocuted in Berekum . A suspected thief by the name Oboshie in his 25 years has been electrocuted at Berekum Nyamebekyere in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region . According to eye-witnesses, the suspected thief's lifeless body was found on the food vendor metal container as he attempted to steal from the container of the vendor who operates in a metal container. His death attracted a crowd of the Berekum people to the scene on the street of Nyamebekyere as everyone wants to catch a glimpse of the deceased over the incident of frequent robbery attacks and stealing in the Municipality.
