AT HAMILE T.I. AHMADIYYA JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

LAMBUSSIE DISTRICT

ON 9TH DECEMBER, 2025

Hamile T.I. Ahmadiyya Junior High School in the Lambussie District celebrated the International Anti-Corruption Day on Tuesday, 9th December, 2025. The theme for the event was “Uniting with Youth Against Corruption: Shaping Tomorrow’s Integrity.” The programme was organised to teach students about corruption and encourage them to live honestly.

The event started with an opening prayer by the School Senior Prefect. The Headmaster then gave the Welcome Address, reminding students of the importance of discipline, honesty, and good behaviour.

The main speaker for the day was Mr. Salifu Inusah, a representative of LANET. He spoke about what corruption is, why it is harmful, and why it is important to fight against it. He also explained two important laws—the Whistleblower Act and the Witness Protection Act, which help protect people who report corruption.

Mr. Inusah encouraged the students to play an active role in stopping corruption. He ended his message by advising them: “Do not be silent in the face of wrongdoing. Commit to the 3Rs: Resist, Reject, and Report corruption.”

The Girls’ Prefect gave the Vote of Thanks, showing appreciation to all who supported the event. A volunteer teacher closed the programme with a prayer.

Acknowledgements:

The school thanked the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and the GIZ-funded PAIReD Programme for their support in promoting integrity and helping make the event successful.

The celebration was educational and encouraged students to choose honesty and integrity in their daily lives.
