Philanthropist Monica Dompre Feeds Sunyani Central Prisons Inmates.

A USA based philanthropist from Berekum, Mrs. Monica Dompre has extended yet another helping hand to the inmates of the Sunyani Central Prisons to provide them with a day's launch.

The moment of joy that Madam Dompre together with her team including Nana Afia Kyereaa Kentenbutu, the Nsumankwaahemaa of Nsuatre brought to the inmates overwhelmed them as they were served with a day's launch.

A number of over 700 prepared snacks were given out to the inmates since it has been an annual takeaway package from Madam Dompre to the prisoners.

Nana Afia Kyereaa Kentenbutu who has always been standing on behalf of Madam Dompre in every Christmas to serve the inmates with cooked food expressed her joy for yet another wonderful kind gesture rendered to the inmates and thank the lead sponsor Madam Monica for her wonderful initiative.

Mrs. Monica Dompre together with her family who for the first time meeting the inmates shared a word with the prisoners to learn from what they have been going through.

According to her, "if not the Lord who has kept them in prison, maybe, they would have died or any other thing may have happened to their lives".

He console them to keep their faith in the Lord and promise to keep coming to their aid whenever necessary.

Mrs. Dompre already has adopted some inmates and financing their education pursuits at Catholic and Cape Coast Universities respectively.

The Prison Welfare Officer on behalf of the inmates received the items and expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Madam Monica Dompre for coming to the aid of the prisoners at such a time they were not expected.

He added that, they have never seen such kind of gesture before for many occasions an individual will always visit prisoners with food and other items.

He took the opportunity to called on the general public to always come to their aid to assist the inmates since Oliver Twist always ask for more and that is how their lives has become.
