Family of the Late 7 Year-Old Jenissi Afena Who Died Through Stampede at School Graduation Day Seek Justice.
The Family of the late 7-year-old Jenisi Afena Amponsah, a class 3 pupil of the Golden Child Academy School who died through a stampede during the school's graduation ceremony on 29th July, 2025 in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region are seeking justice for their deceased child.
Speaking to the media in a press conference in Berekum, the family head, Mr Kofi Kyeremeh expressed shock of the state of neglect their deceased child former school authorities rendered to the family for refusing to show up during the final burial service of their late child indicates that, the owner of the school has no sign of remorse of the death of their child.
He said, the school authorities should have been with them in the burial and other funeral arrangements but the school authorities neglected the family in all the funeral arrangements of their late child during her burial.
He said, they will not sit idle for such their precious daughter to die even at a time the graduation ceremony was ongoing leaving their child in that state without given the family any formal information about the death of the child from the school.
The father of the 7-year-old late child, Mr Kyeremeh Charles also stressed that, the negligence of the school authorities led to the sudden death of his 7 year-old daughter therefore is demanding an immediate investigation and justice about the child's death since the autopsy report has it that, their child died through stampede and a broken neck.
The father again has called on the government to intervene on their behalf since they cannot endure the pain the school has left in their heart.
The Mother of the late girl, Madam Beatrice Afena Kyeremeh also expressed her sadness of what she has been going through, saying the school authorities did not deal with the family well and that calling on the government to let justice prevail for their late daughter.
She added that, authorities of the school shouldn't have done what they did and are demanding answers from them to respond to the sudden death of her young girl.
In an attempt by Alrich24newsgh.blogspot.com to speak to the PTA Chairman of the school to explain their side of the case declined to speak on the matter saying, the case is being handled by some leaders therefore cannot speak about it.
