World Universities Services of Canada (WUSC) INVEST Hands Over Changing Rooms/Washrooms Project to Ayertey Alignment aka Ayertey Ghana Ltd.
A two seperate changing rooms and washrooms comprises of male and female rooms has been handed over to Ayertey Alignment Services aka Ayertey Ghana Limited in Kumasi to boost the inclusion of female in the male dominated non-traditional skill training.
In an interview with Alrich24newsgh.blogspot.com, Mr Brenya Appiah Kusi, the Project Director of INVEST explained that, INVEST is an acronym of Innòvation in Non-Traditional Vocational Education in Skills Trading, where areas of skills training that has already been dominated by men are being channelled to invclude women and that is what INVEST is bridging such gab to allow women to venture into male dominated skills training especially in the vocational training.
The project which is the gender-responsive changing rooms and restrooms co-founded by WUSC INVEST and Ayertey Ghana Ltd.
Ayertey Ghana has become the lead in INVEST project to embraced the idea of "INVEST in Her" initiative by WUSC in apprenticeship training to acttract women hence the changing room and a washroom has been constructed for the trainers to serve as a motivational factor to entertain the females at the Ayertey training center.
Mr Appiah Kusi, added that, the "INVEST in Her" programme has been extended for the next 5 years with another programme called Employed which will offer job opportunities to female skilled trainers after their training.
He therefore called on most Ghanaina women to break all odds to avial themselves in skills training in the non-traditional vocational education in skills trading such as welding, vulcanizare, carpentery, spraying, mechanic, and among other trade at the male dominated places.
The CEO of Ayertey Ghana Ltd, Mr. Robert Ayertey commended the leaders of World Universities Service of Canada (WUSC) for their continuous support towards his business to bring it to this far.
He promised the partnership he has had with WUSC will go a long way to help most women in the Kumasi Metropolise and Ghana as a whole.
He again urge interested females who are ready to train in the non-traditional trading to also come on board to learn a trade from his service center and other places.
