SKY TRAIN SAGA: WHERE IS THE A-G LOOKING TO?
Ghanainas are still in a state of confusion as they continue to ask quenstions on the recent Press Confernce held by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, over the controversy surrounding the acquisition of two million dollars shares in the Muritius based AI Sky Train Consortium by the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF).
It can be recalled that, the Attorney General in the said Press Conference noted that the investigations conducted by his lawyers in Muritius have revealed that the company whose shares GIIF acquired (AI Sky Train Consortium) does not exist.
However, an independent search on the company's Registry Website of Muritius shows the existence of AI Sky Train Consortium.
Another independent search has also shown that the shares as acquired reelected in the internal audit report of GIIF as part of its investment portfolio since 2019 when the shares were acquired.
At the Press Conference, the Attorney General hinted that the former Chief Executive Officer of GIIF, who is being accused of making the two million dollars payment to Sky Train, Solomon Asamoah was hiding in Senegal and had promised to be in Ghana to assist in ongoing investigations into the matter.
This statement has been denied by Mr. Asamoah and that he has not gone hiding in Senegal but had been in Ghana all this while.
Meanwhile, the questions that many Ghanaians are asking is where is the Attorney General, Dominic Ayine looking at in this Sky Train Saga.
It is about time he comes again to explain to Ghanaians where the case has reached for now as long as the prime suspect has been identified.
