Drobo Traditional Council Condemns illicit circulation of nude videos and images of some affected women.

At a press conference, Nana Ama Foriwaa II, Kontrihemaa of Drobo Traditional Council, and Nana Abena Tamea, Gyaasehemaa of Drobo Traditional Council, on behalf of Drobohemaa Nana Yaa Ansuaa have expressed their view how recurring of such images and videos is very disturbing.


The Queen Mother of Drobo and Omanhene Okokyeredom Sakyi Ako II are disappointed and have disapproved such behavior within the Municipality.


The council emphasized that, sharing of explicit content brings shame to affected individuals, their families, and the community, ultimately damaging the victim credibility. They warned that anyone who disregards this advice and engages in such behavior will face consequences from the traditional council.


The penalties for such actions will include a fine of 6 sheep or GH¢ 6,000. The council also cautioned the youth to refrain from such behavior, as it is considered as taboo and brings disgrace to the community.


The Drobo Traditional Council's stance aims to promote decency, respect, and moral values within the community.

BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL ACCEPT EIGHT GAZETTED CHIEFS

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. A number of eight (8) Chiefs in the Berekum Traditional Area have performed their oaths of secrecy to be gazetted as the divisional chiefs of Berekum Traditional Council. The chiefs, numbering 8, got their titles as "Osaberima" to be added to their traditional and rulership names. A high court judge, Justice Baayeh, on the 6th day of November 2018, led the chiefs to sworn in the oaths of secrecy before a certificates of recognition was issued to the chiefs as a divisional chiefs. The gazetted 8 chiefs has been granted the opportunity and right to be part of any sittings of the traditional council and by so doing, all the 8 chiefs have been approved by the government of Ghana to be part of the judicial committee of the Berekum Traditional Council. Berekum Omanhene Nana Kofi Asante Krobea has officially been nominated today at Manhyia Palace by the Omanhemaa of Berekum Nana Akosua Ameyaahene II.
