Berekum West MP to Lead in Youth Employment Initiative.

The MP of Berekum West Constituency of the Bono Region, Hon. Dickson Kyere-Duah aka Stugard has assured, he will work in collaboration with the media to help promote the interest of the constituency as long as he is the Memeber of Parliament to serve the mandate of the people.


According to the MP, he will work to ensure that President Mahama's 24-Hour economy policy which is to help reduce unemployment among the youth, will be achieved.


At a press soiree, Hon. Stugard highlighted most of the issues on his table, including roads, employment, sports development, and infrastructure,  among others which he described as his top- most priority of his plan to develop the constituency.


He responded to a call to complete the Jinijini-Sampa road which he said he is working on for the contractor to finish the road on time for the people. 


The former MP of Odododiodio Constituency, Hon. Nii Lante Vanderpuye who doubles as the coordinator for DRIP equipments also emphasised that, he is working together with the Berekum West MP to ensure a sustainable development plan at the agric sector.


He assured that, Berekum West Constituency will be among some of the districts in the Bono Region that will significantly benefit from the government’s 24-hour economy initiative because a team of officers from the office of Minister of Special Initiative has visited the constituency to survey on the possible opportunities to support the agro business to create employment. 


He added that plans are far advanced to establish an agro-processing beverage company within the constituency to boost agriculture production.


He said if everything goes through farmers and the youth will benefit from the move to create jobs as lands acquisition for the construction of the beverage company is on course to add value to cashew and tomatoes. 


He therefore called on the traditional authorities to support the government's 24-hour economy policy when it comes to land and other resources to support the agenda.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
