ASUOKOW RESIDENTS DECRIES GALAMSEY DESTRUCTION OF WATER SOURCES, PLEADS FOR SUPPORT.

Residents of Asuokow in Upper West Akyem District of the Eastern Region, are calling on the government, stakeholders, and NGOs to intervene as illegal mining activities have devastated their vital water sources.


The community reports that the once pristine Asuokow river, their primary source for domestic use, has been severely polluted and rendered unusable




The water bodies have lost their original colour due to the work of galamseyers, which has caused serious distress to the community.


The residents are now facing a severe water crisis, as the pollution has made the river unsafe for drinking and other household needs. They speaking with Alrich24newsgh.com news reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel, are appealing for immediate assistance to avert any looming danger.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
