Ghana's Outgoing President, Nana Akufo-Addo Approved Free-Visa Entry for All Africans.
Ghana's outgoing president, Nana Akufo-Addo, has approved visa-free entry for all Africans seeking to visit Ghana, joining Rwanda, Seychelles, The Gambia, and Benin, who have such a policy.
The free entry will take effect on January 6th, 2025. Some Ghanians are still questioning why now, after President Akufo-Addo has been in power for almost 8 years, with some asking if the decision is a genuine Pan-Africanist gesture or a desperate attempt to repair a tarnished legacy or even perhaps an attempt to sabotage the next government that comes into power on January 7th, 2025.
