Berekum West MP Agoogo 16 Years Rule of Intimidation Tamed by NDC MP Elect Stugard. 

The safe seat of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Berekum West Constituency for the past 12 years has been grabbed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament elect Dickson Kyere-Duah also known as Stugard.


The MP elect, Dickson Kyere-Duah (Stugard) swept a total of 13, 869 votes against the NPP parliamentary candidate, Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng's (Agoogo) 8,651 votes to tame him of his captivity of the constituency.

The MP elect Dickson Kyere-Duah (Stugard) in his appreciation message, expressed his gratitude to the entire people of Berekum West Constituency, most especially the party executives, the youth, traditional leaders and the clergy in the constituency.


Speaking to the media, Stugard said as an MP elect, he is going to be responsible in his leadership to be the leader of all both in NDC and NPP. He pledged not to discriminate but serve in humility. 




According to him, beyond elections, there is cooperation, unity and development, indicating that, no one should attempt to revenge on anyone forgoing all that happened before, during and after the elections which to him will not bring progress to the development of the constituency. 


He charged the people of Berekum West to be united after his victory because he is poised to bring development to the constituency in the area of job creation, roads development, health and as well as sports development. 

Hon. Dickson Kyere-Duah aka Stugard now going to represent the people of Berekum West in parliament has assured all his supporters to celebrate in modesty but advised the supporters to seek for the peace and unity among the people in the area.




He concluded that, his victory is the victory of all and promised he  will deliver on his policies that was declared during his campaign tour during the electioneering period.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
