OFFINSO TRADITIONAL COUNCIL INSTALLS A NEW QUEEN MOTHER FOLLOWING AN EIGHT-MONTH PROCESS.

The Offinso traditional council officially inaugurated a new queen mother on Monday, September 2, 2024.


Nana Adwoa Afranowaa has been selected by the Offinso Akokondease royal family and kingmakers to serve as the queen mother of the community.


She will be publicly presented in the next Akwasidae after being formally introduced to the Ashantehene, Otumfuor Osei Tutu and the Queen Mother of Ashantiman.


Nana Adwoa Afranowaa will take over from Nana Ama Serwaa Nyarko, who was removed from her position by the Ashantehene Otumfuor Osei Tutu due to her blatant disregard for the kingdom.




Nana Adwoa Afranowaa is the thirteenth in the line of succession of queen mothers in the Offinso community in the Ashanti region.


In an interview with the media, Abusuapanin of the Ashwrim Royal family, Nana Atta Kwabena, expressed confidence that appointing a new queen from the Akokondease royal family will promote peace and unity within the Offinso traditional council.

Furthermore, the Linguist of the Offinso traditional council, Okyeame Kwaku Wiafe, stated that the chief and elders of Offinso will collaborate with the queen mother to drive development forward.


In the refreshing words of appreciation from the newly installed queen mother, Nana Adwoa Afranowaa, she used the opportunity to thank Nana Dwamena Akenteng III, the Offinsomanhene for choosing her, Nanahemaa said she is going to promote unity and harmony which Nana Dwamena Akenteng III has begun since he became the Chief of Offinso.


Nana Adwoa Afranowaa, could not hide her joy at the elevation, furthermore, she extended her application to the sub-chiefs and media for a role well played that has maintained peace in Offinso.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
