Nkoranza Divisional Police Pursuing NDC Youth in Nkoranza for Retaliating by Pasting Posters on DRIP Equipment.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth in Nkoranza South Constituency, Bono East Region, have taken action against the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) parliamentary candidate by pasting their own posters on District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) equipment. This move comes after repeated warnings to remove NPP posters from the equipment were ignored.
The NDC youth argue that the DRIP project, funded by taxpayers, should not be used for political promotion. They emphasize that the equipment belongs to all Ghanaians, not just the NPP and their parliamentary candidates.
On September 16, 2024, the NDC youth pasted posters of their Member of Parliament on the DRIP equipment, stating, "It's the government's money, funded by the taxes we all pay. We can't be only seeing posters of NPP parliamentary candidates on the DRIP equipment."
Following their action, the Nkoranza divisional police commander and his team began pursuing the NDC youth. In response, the youth have issued stern warnings to anyone attempting to remove their posters
