Election 2024: Please come out and cast your ballots come December 7th - Local Gov't Minister pleads with Adventists.

Hon. Martin Kwaku Adjei-Mensah Korsah the Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development has pleaded with Members of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church to try their possible best to make out time to cast their ballots come 7th December during the general elections despite the day being a "Sabbath".

Ghana's crucial 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections fall on a Saturday which the Seventh-Day Adventist Church and other Stakeholders had earlier requested for the Polls to be changed because it conflicts with their Day of Worship and many of their members would have difficulties in casting their votes but this appeal could not materialize.

But addressing the 24th annual camp meeting of the Techiman South-West District of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church under the Mid-North Ghana Conference in the Bono East Region, Hon. Adjei-Mensah Korsah who doubles as the Member of Parliament for Techiman South Constituency pleaded with the Adventists to see voting as a Civic responsibility and make out time from their busy schedules on 7th December to vote as God directs Christians to be responsible Citizens.

Hon. Martin Kwaku Adjei-Mensah Korsah seized the opportunity to plead with Nananom and the good People of Techiman South Constituency to vote for him to maintain his seat in the forthcoming elections and also give Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumiah an opportunity to lead Ghana into the promised land.

He called for peace before, during and after the elections as he urged all to work towards not having a repeat of the unfortunate 2020 Techiman South coalition center security shootings that led to loss of lives and injuries, saying never again should anyone get hurt because of polls.

For his part, Pastor James Anane-Dome Techiman South-West District Pastor spoke about this year's camp meeting of the SDA under the theme; "I will Go, Chosen for Mission" at the VICSDA Church at Wiawso in Techiman.
