SUNYANI QUEEN MOTHER ORGANIZES CLEAN UP EXERCISES TO KEEP SUNYANI CLEAN.

The queen mother of Sunyani  Taditional Council of the Bono region, Nana Akosua Dua Asor Sika Brayie ll on 6th July, 2024 has organized another edition   of clean up exercises in the  Sunyani Municipality to ensure the city is clean for business and all activities. 


In the course of the exercise, most of the business, shops, super market and all activities  were all closed down in the morning till 12pm to support the clean up exercise where  gutters and rubbers where cleared 



This clean up exercises attracted a lot of dignitaries including the NDC Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Sunyani East, Hon. Seid Mubarak as well as the security services and the general public.



Hon. Seid Mubarak, the Sunyani East NDC PC  commended the Sunyani  queen mother, Nana Akosua Dua Sika Brayie ll for organizing such a well organized clean up exercises  so that, Sunyani will be restored to it position of cleanest city in Ghana and the West Africa.



He lastly urged the people of Sunyani to help keep the city clean and maintain the standard of cleanliness in the Municipality as well as considering voting for him to represent the people of Sunyani East in parliament therefore urged them to massively vote for him to bring development to Sunyani East Constituency.




Nana AKosua Dua Sika Brayie ll also thanks the people of Sunyani for coming in their numbers to support her to undertake the part clean up exercise.


Nana Akosua Dua Asor also urged the people of Sunyani to put it on their record that there will be a clean up exercise every first week of every month  to enable them to maintain the neatness in Sunyani which was  once the cleanest city in Ghana  and West Africa.


She therefore called on the people to bright every corner wherever they may find themselves which will help reduce the filth that may engulfed the Municipality.

BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL ACCEPT EIGHT GAZETTED CHIEFS

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. A number of eight (8) Chiefs in the Berekum Traditional Area have performed their oaths of secrecy to be gazetted as the divisional chiefs of Berekum Traditional Council. The chiefs, numbering 8, got their titles as "Osaberima" to be added to their traditional and rulership names. A high court judge, Justice Baayeh, on the 6th day of November 2018, led the chiefs to sworn in the oaths of secrecy before a certificates of recognition was issued to the chiefs as a divisional chiefs. The gazetted 8 chiefs has been granted the opportunity and right to be part of any sittings of the traditional council and by so doing, all the 8 chiefs have been approved by the government of Ghana to be part of the judicial committee of the Berekum Traditional Council.
