Wenchi Traditional Council, 19 Chiefs Swear an Oath of Allegiance to Wenchi Manhene.

Some 19 Chiefs at the Wenchi Traditional Area in the Bono Region have sworn a oath of allegiance to the Omanhene of Wenchi, Ampem Osagyefo Anye Amoampong Tabrako III.


The event took place at the Ahenfie Yefiri Royal Palace at Wenchi on Thursday March 21,2024.



The traditional council also inducted 35 gazetted Chiefs and Queen Mothers into the Wenchi Traditional Council.


They were sworn in by Her ladyship Mariama Saleh Sinary, the Wenchi High Court Judge after taking the oath of membership and secrecy.

Her Ladyship, Mariama Saleh Sinary urged the Chiefs and Queen Mothers to respect the laws of Ghana and also desist from interfering with due processes of the law when it comes to cases involving themselves or their families.

Ampem Osagyefo Anye Amoampong Tabrako III congratulated the gazetted Chiefs and Queen Mothers and urged them to help promote the developmental agenda, peace and security, traditions and customs of Wenchi Traditional Area.


Eight judicial committee was also set up by the council to help settle disputes in the area.
