DORMAAMAN HENE CALLS ON EC FOR FREE, FIAR AND TRANSPARENT 2024 ELECTIONS.

ANYTHING THAT WOULD BE COUNTENANCE TO THE CARDINAL PRINCIPLES OF FREE, FAIR AND TRANSPARENT ELECTION SHOULDN'T BE TOLERATED-DORMAAHENE TO ELECTORAL COMMISSION.

The Dormaahene who doubles as the President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Dr Agyeman Badu ll has urged the Electoral Commission headed by Mrs Jean Mensah to uphold the cardinal principles of elections thus free, fair and transparent in the upcoming general election in December. 


According to Osagyefo Oseadeeyo, and Dr Agyeman Badu Il in person together with Nananom in the Bono Region, stakeholders will do their part to help the Electoral Commission achieve its goal of a free, fair and transparent election.


He made this call when the British High Commissioner to Ghana, Her Excellency Harriet Thompson paid a courtesy visit to him at Abanpredease Palace in Dormaa in the Bono Region.

He, however, admonished the government not to see his critics as their enemies but to delve into issues being raised and make amendments to them to achieve their promises.


The British High Commissioner Her Excellency Harriet Thompson in her speech outlined the major support the UK government has brought to Ghanaians since independence and vowed to continue. 


She urged poultry and cashew farmers in Dormaa and the Bono region to exercise patience since plans are underway to help them boost and grow the industry.


Her Excellency Harriet Thompson touched on democracy being more important than the elections.
She acknowledged the role the chiefs play in the growth of Ghana's democracy.

Sunyani East, Kotokrom-New Dormaa Tarred Road Gets Second Seal. The ongoing construction of the major road of the New Dormaa-Kotokrom road in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region which was recently primer sealed for the final seal started today Saturday 16th March. 2024 to complete the one-sided of the road. Government has intention of asphalting that high way in the near future. For the mean tine it is being tarred to prepare grounds for an asphalt overlay.
