FULANI HERDSMEN AND THEIR ACTIVITIES: COME TO OUR AID- DWANMANHENE TO GOVERNMENT AS THEY BLAME IMMIGRATION OFFICERS ON OUR BORDERS.




The Paramount Chief of Dwan Traditional Council, Nana Okofrobour Awase Afura III has pleaded with the government to intervene with the presence and activities of Fulani herdsmen in the Sene West District of the Bono East region.


Speaking on behalf of the Omahene of Dwan, the Deputy Public Relations Officer(PRO) of the Dwan Youth Association, Kwasi Banka (Nana B), recounted the challenges farmers and the people of Dwan are experiencing due to the unscrupulous activities of Fulani herdsmen.


He made this statement during a press conference organized by the Dwan Traditional Council on Thursday, December 7th, 2023 at Kwame Danso.


Nana Okofrobour called on the government to, as a matter of urgency, come to their rescue to resolve the highlighted issues since they cannot but blame the situation on the negligence of the immigration at Ghana borders being lackadaisical on their jobs at the entrance borders.



Some of the other subchiefs after the event, Sanahene, Nana Kofi Nyarko and Baamuhene, Nana Okyere Santo II of the Council sided with Nana Afura III and called for swift action to be taken to avoid unpredicted circumstances and the destruction of their crops by the animals are overwhelming which need a serious security attention.
