Wenchi Agriculture College Holds 4th Matriculation Ceremony.

Wenchi Agriculture College on Friday, October 27,2023 matriculated it's 4th batch of freshmen and women of the two - year certificate programme and the one - year Vocational Agriculture programme for the 2023/2024 academic year.


Principal of the College, Mr. Abdulai Mahamadu congratulated all fresh students who had gained admission into the college.


He explained that the college have admitted a total of one hundred and sixty - six freshmen and women to pursue the duo programmes in the 2023/2024 academic year.


Mr Abdulai Mahamadu added that one hundred and forty seven (147) of the number is pursuing two year certificate programme and nineteen (19) in the One year Vocational Agriculture Programme.


By way of sex segregation , about 69 percent are male and 31 percent being female he said.


The Principal highlighted some challenges facing by the college, these include , inadequate and less spacious lecture halls, lack of Science laboratory, lack of School bus, and inadequate Staff bungalows and quarters among others.



He therefore called on the Wenchi Municipal Assembly, Wenchi Traditional Council, and all well meaning Ghanaians to come to their aid to ameliorate the aforementioned challenges to pave way for smooth delivery of training.


The Wenchi Municipal Director of Department of Food and Agriculture, Mr Emmanuel Aful  encouraged the freshers to focus on their studies on campus and to become great agric officers and entrepreneurs in future.


Nana Nuama Ameyaw Keteku Soapia II, the Nifahene of Wenchi Traditional Area who chaired the occasion on behalf of the Paramount Chief of Wenchi Osagyefo Annye Amoampong Tabrako III also urged the students to conduct themselves very well and refrain from acts that would tarnish the reputation of the college.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
