Suhum MP Registers Over 4000 Residents Onto NHIS.

Over 4000 constituents have been benefited from free NHIS registration in Suhum Municipality to enable them in the accessibility of health care in the area. 


This was initiated by the Member Of Parliament for Suhum Constituency Hon. Kwadwo Oboafo Asante, in collaboration with the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in the Suhum Municipality.


The MP, Hon. Kwadwo Oboafo Asante, said, he is tied in with the drive to make things better for the people in the area both the poor and the vulnerable in society. 



His office was determined to work hard to promote the health and the welfare of these people. In excess of 4000 had been registered, one week after the start of the exercise in the Akorabo, Supresu, Nankese, Adarkwa, Okorase town of Suhum.


The Suhum NPP communication Officer Samuel Baah a.k. a Gosh who is the aid of Member Mr of Parliament for Suhum Constituency Hon. Kwadwo Oboafo Asante, speaking with Alrich24newsgh.com news reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel, said over the past one week, a total of 4000 aged persons and children had been freely registered for the insurance scheme.


He advised all health insurance cardholders to make sure that they safely kept the cards to enable them to continue to enjoy free care at the point of service delivery.


The Member of Parliament for the area Honorable Kwadwo Oboafo Asante paid for the registration as part of his resolve to deliver quality health care to the people in his Constituency. 


Mr. Samuel Baah, said  the gesture by the MP was in sync with the Project 4000 residents and introduced by the National Health Insurance Scheme in October this year.  The project is intended to encourage more residents to register unto the National Health Insurance Scheme. 


He added, this will come as a relief to residents who find it difficult registering their own or children onto the NHIS.

25-Year-Old Young Man Electrocuted in Berekum . A suspected thief by the name Oboshie in his 25 years has been electrocuted at Berekum Nyamebekyere in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region . According to eye-witnesses, the suspected thief's lifeless body was found on the food vendor metal container as he attempted to steal from the container of the vendor who operates in a metal container.
