PRESS RELEASE!!!

Peddling of falsehood and lies by Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng, Berekum West MP.

Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng, MP for BEREKUM WEST is sharing 2020 MASLOC items like hair dryers and sewing machines. He told the constituents that he used his share of MPs statutory funds worth of GHC 2.4 billion to buy them. Through vivid investigations and research, we have come to the conclusion that all that he said about the sources of funding for those items is pure lies and day-light propaganda.

Evidence: those items are boldly written against them: "FINANCED BY MASLOC". We keep on asking our MP and the entire constituency: What has our MP been using his statutory funds for since 2009( almost 16 years)? He keeps hiding behind District Assembly and Central Government projects and initiatives.

NB;

We have three means of spending state funds on projects and initiatives:

1) Central government projects or initiatives.

2) District Assembly-funded projects or initiatives and

3) Member of Parliament-funded statutory projects or initiatives.

The third aspect of the project has been missing since 2009. Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng should mention only three tangible and physical projects funded by MPS Statutory Funds for the past 15 years.

Again, we just heard that Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng has promised to construct astroturf. It's a nice initiative since all our neighbouring constituencies have received theirs, but we, the youth of Berekum West, don't trust Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng when it comes to projects of such nature because, in 2020, he demolished a decent and hygienic place where our mothers and sisters used to sell and buy meat, all in the name of giving us a bus terminal, but up to date, nothing has happened. If he has money, he should first deal with it and complete it.

Jinijini Post Office,

Jinijini Gutter, which has become a death trap for citizens, if the above-mentioned projects are not completed, we, the youth, will not allow him to destroy the only school and town pitch we have at Jinijini.

The only motive for these lies and propaganda by our MP is to deceive their delegates for the NPP incoming primaries in Berekum West as other potential candidates have put pressure on him .
