The Ynenten Family of Berekum-Kato who occupys the family house and land at Berekum close to the roundabout are pleading on the Berekum Traditional leaders to reconsider their decision to handover their captured land back to the Family.

Speaking to the media on behalf of the Family, Madam Joyce Addea explained that, the Ynentene family house which situated close to the roundabout together with a land has been protected by the family for over many years but she said, ther is nothing they can do to plead on the Nananom to consider given back their land.

According to her, the controversial piece of land that now wants to be taken by the Berekum Municipal Assembly for car park has again been twisted to be owned by the Nananom of Berekum which a measurement that was recently taken will only leave the family to loose their land to them which she plead on Nananom to reconsider taken over their long protected land which was secured by their forefathers for so many years.

She added that, the land does not belong to anybody but by the family even though Nananom are what all lands belongs to hence their land should be given back to the family.

She explained that, the family are ever ready to also develop the land to the beauty of Berekum and will not allow any body outside the family to invade their land to develop it. She said they will do everything possible to also prevent any developer to build on the land but pleaded again no the Berekum Traditional Authorities to hand over their land to the family since they are all one people and family.
