154 Armoured Regiment in Sunyani Names New Officers Mess After Slain Soldier. 



154 Armoured Regiment in Sunyani  newly officers mess has been named after slain soldier Sherif Imoro who was killed by a mob at Ashaiman Taifa on Saturday 4th March, 2023.


The late Sherif Imoro young soldier stationed with Ghana Army's 154 Armoured Regiment Sunyani, a unit under the 15 Armoured Brigade brutally slain in the night.




In an interview with Odeneho Kwesi Appiah, Col. Kofi Obiri Yeboah the Commanding Officer of 154 Armoured Regiment in Sunyani  says as military officers they don't leave their people behind and also they don't forget their members because that is the only way people would be motivated to feel that even if they loose their lives they would be remembered.

According to him, the facility is for the junior ranks, so  the unit found it very opt to  named it after Sherif Imoro so that his colleagues will always remember that one of their own lose his life under such circumstances.


Col. Obiri Yeboah says a bit of infrastructure work to be done to bring up the Regiment to required status.

In terms of office infrastructure, accommodation for troops, equipment that complement all the effort that he placed is to ensure the Regiment well grounded.


On his part, Col Edward Owusu Ansah D/Comd 15 Armoured Brigade applauds the out going Commading Officer Col Kofi Obiri Yeboah.

According to Col Edward Ansah, his tenure of office saw many changes including infrastructure expansion of office and accommodation for both soldiers and officers.

He added that, Despites of the numerous finance and resources challenges he has managed to layed a solid foundation for the unit.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
