FORMER MP OF BEREKUM AND LAWYER NKRABIA EFFAH DARTEH CALLS ON ECOWAS TO LEAVE NIGER ALONE. 

The former Member of Parliament for Berekum Constituency in the Bono Region of Ghana and Lawer Nkrabia Effah Darteh has called on ECOWAS leadership which is meeting today 16th August, 2023 in Ghana to decide on military intervention in Niger Coup must try as much they can to bring things to normalcy than to create war.


Speaking in an interview, he said Niger should be left alone to handle its internal affairs than to call on a meeting to discuss any possible intervention which will not solve any issue in the country but to create confusion that may not solve any issue in the region.


Lawyer Effah Dartey said, coup for over 50 years has been the order of the day within the West Africa sub-region and ECOWAS has not been able to deal with any of the coup that has occurred but why only this time want to seek military intervention for Niger.


He, therefore urged ECOWAS to do the right thing to ensure peace is retained in Niger than to plan any kind of military intervention that may lead to any possible civil war that may escalate in the sub-region.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
