A 16-Year-Old Young Boy Stabs to Death by Twin Brothers in Berekum.

A 16-year-old young boy who is a JHS 3 student Alhanssan Suleman aka Baba has been stabbed to death on Saturday night at one of the drinking spots in Berekum in the Berekum East Municipal Assembly of the Bono Region.


According to the information gathered the deceased was allegedly killed by twin brothers Harus and Farouk who he live with in the same house but was killed at the drinking spot after they went there for a night party.


Speaking to the mother of the deceased, Safia Sulemana said, she did not believe after the death of her son was reported to her. She added that she has been taking care of the twin brothers who she has been taken care of after their parent's marriage was divorced and has been eaten from her house and doesn't know why her son has been killed by the boys.


An eye witness Mohammed Sofian who witness the incident explained that the deceased was stabbed in the chest several times and a sporadic gunshot was been released by the twins he manage to send the deceased to the hospital but died on the way to the hospital.

The deceased brother Suleman Seidu also expressed shock over hearing the death of his young brother who is their last born to the family and believes the police will bring the perpetrators to book.


The Berekum Police command has begun investigations into the incident to trace the twin brothers who have taken to their heels.

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. A number of eight (8) Chiefs in the Berekum Traditional Area have performed their oaths of secrecy to be gazetted as the divisional chiefs of Berekum Traditional Council. The chiefs, numbering 8, got their titles as "Osaberima" to be added to their traditional and rulership names. A high court judge, Justice Baayeh, on the 6th day of November 2018, led the chiefs to sworn in the oaths of secrecy before a certificates of recognition was issued to the chiefs as a divisional chiefs.
