THE CALL BY CHAIRMAN WONTUMI IS DISCRIMINATORY AND UNFORTUNATE - OFORIKROM CONSTITUENCY COMMUNICATION OFFICER.

Our attention has been drawn to a video circulating on social media concerning the expedition of the construction of the Suame interchange which is prejudicial and invidious and must be frowned upon.

Akuffo-Addo promised Oforikrom Constituency an interchange which according to the Minister for Roads and Transport will be fully completed in their second term.

Oforikrom Constituency has a voter population of over 100,000 which always accord 70% of votes to the NPP.

Oforikrom constituency is highly neglected and deficient in terms of developmental projects under the NPP.

The concerned Youths recently demonstrated vehemently in the Municipality over poor roads and dilapidated bridges claiming the lives of people.

Issues of grave concern were the inner roads and highways and the much talked about Anloga Junction interchange.

Shockingly, the NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman in an interview with Citi tv is calling his government to quickly commence work on the suame interchange without referencing Oforikrom Constituency which is rather unfortunate and discriminatory because we deserve the fair share of the national cake.

We blame this impudence, discriminatory and unguarded statement from Chairman Wontumi on our Member of Parliament Dr Emmanuel Marfo who for the past years has not been up to the task and positioned 273rd out of 275 most performing MPs.

We condemn the unfortunate and discriminatory comments from Chairman Wontumi and call on the government to be sensitive about the plight of our constituents.

Some roads such as Anona Paado to Zormelo Down, Gariba streets, Appiadu Kokoben, Anloga Junction, Ayigya Zongo inner roads and the much-awaited Anloga Junction interchange have been neglected by the NPP.

This Constituency has never been won by the NDC but we have been very monumental in the construction of roads in the Constituency. Some of these are;

SOME ROADS WERE CONSTRUCTED BY NDC AND JOHN MAHAMA IN THE OFORIKROM CONSTITUENCY.

3)Construction of Ayeduase-Kotei-Deduako-Gyenyasi road-6.5km
