The Queen mother of Sunyani Traditional Council, Nana Akosua Dua-Asor Sika Brayie has over the weekends pledged her commitment as a Queen mother to make Sunyani, the sun city the cleanest city in the next three years and also be the cleanest city in the entire African continent.


According to the Queen mother" Despite the covid-19 pandemic, we didn't record many cases since we are the cleanest city in Ghana and the commitment I want to make and for all of us, is that by the next three years to come, Sunyani will be the cleanest city on the entire African continent not even the cities and towns in the country and the people in Sunyani are now becoming more in the urban settlements which she is committed to introducing the Omanhemaa Aprapra to always keep Sunyani clean".Queen mother


The Queen Mother made this known on theQueen motherturday, 27th May over23 during "Omof anaemia Aprapra" together with zoomlion Ghana, Council Of Bono and Ahafo Association Of North America (COBAANA), Sunyani Municipal Assembly and the entire Municipal Sunyani cleaning gutters and sweeping the streets to keep the City clean as the saying goes "cleanliness....Is next to Godliness".


Nana said, the poor sanitation challenges facing Sunyani now are attributed to the population growth in the city and it's her commitment to bringing on "Omanhemaa Aprapra" quartbringingto make Sunyani the cleanest city o Ghana.


The Queen Mother release some necessaryQueen mother as trash bins, shovel among others to facilitate waste collection and disposal, she applied some institdisposalfor thapplaudedrt to make the cleanup exercise a success.

The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area in the Berekum Municipal of the Bono Region Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II has passed on. The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum. A Student of Ghana National College from Sunyani-Chiraa Scores 8A's in 2023 WASSCE.  A Senior High Student of Ghana National College in Cape Coast, Owusu Peprah Priscilla who hails from Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region has also scored 8A's in the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).  Her effort and the results she obtained have brought great joy to her family and the people of Chiraa without hesitation wishing her congratulations on most of the social media platforms. She started her basic education at Solomon Bennet Memorial School in Sunyani from her infancy.  Priscilla's family and well-wishers are appealing to the government as a matter of urgency to help ensure the right course of study will be offer to her at her tertiary education level.
