NCCE Urges Ghanaians to Uphold Democratic Governance.
The Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipal Directorate of the National Commission for Civic Education has Sensitized the Ghanaian citizenry in Nsawam and its environs to uphold democratic governance as a major priority in our constitutional journey.
The sensitization exercise took place at a forum organized by the NCCE, for identifiable groups in Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality, to commemorate the occasion, Ghanaians through a referendum returned to constitutional rule.
The Municipal Director of NCCE, Mr Emmanuel Otoo, in his presentation, said the fourth republican constitution is the longest-serving and uninterrupted Constitution in the history of Ghana's constitutional democracy.
He urged the participants to live up to the tenets of the Constitution and allow the rule of Law to thrive.
Mr Emmanuel Otoo advised the participants to nurture the habit of peaceful coexistence and eschew practices which could breed religious, political and ethnic intolerance.
concluding his message, he prodded the participants to play an active role in the upcoming district-level elections, by exercising their franchise, for a massive turnout.
