Suhum Zamannamah Chief Advises Zongo Youth Not to be used in Elections and to Shun Violence.
Suhum Zamannamah Chief Adamu Isaah has cautioned the youth in Zongo communities not to allow themselves to be used to cause trouble during the December Elections in the country.
According to the Suhum Zamannamah Chief, the phenomenon of politicians using others, especially persons in the Zongo communities to do their dirty work on election day must cease.
We want this election to be peaceful. Ghana is the only country we have, so let’s vote in peace. We don’t want to hear that the youth of Zongo has been used to foment trouble or cause any fight during the polls. Let’s not allow our children from Zongos to be used, Chief Adamu Isaah was peaking with Alri h24newsgh.com news reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel, to chiefs and people of the Zongo community in Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region, during the celebration of the Ramadan festival.
We are not soldiers. So he is telling his Zongo brothers and sisters not to allow themselves to be influenced to cause trouble during the elections, He stressed.
Chief Adamu Isaah speaks Against LGBTQ± and prays for youth to lead good lives. He explained from the verses of the Holy Qur'an how Allah destroyed the people of prophet Lut on gayism and related it to current happenings in the world especially Ghana.
He urged the youth to seek knowledge and not to use social media or traditional media to paint the image of Islam as black. He added that Ghana not doing enough to tackle Homosexuality, he said Ghana's effort in criminalizing homosexuality is unsatisfactory.
Chief Adamu argued that by Ghanaian cultural norms and values, men are supposed to be partners with women and not people of the same gender acting as partners of each other.
He said Vice President Dr Mahamadu Bawumia should come out and declare his stand on the LGBTQ+, he said.
Suhum Chief Osabarima Ayeh Kofi l also advised the Muslim community that, they should not allow any politician to use them in elections time. Ghana, we are one people, we need peace to push Ghana forward.
