NEDCo To Embark on Intensive Revenue Mobilisation Exercise.

The Northern Electricity Development Company (NEDCo) has planned to embark on intensive revenue mobilization in its catchment and operational areas.

According to the company, the need to undertake this exercise has been necessitated by the huge debt owned by its customers an amount of Ghc1.2 billion while twtheywned their power generator (VRA) an amount of Gh1.6 billion.

The management, therefore, has again explained that they own their power transmitter (GRIDCo) an amount of Ghc481 million and also spend an average of about GHc120 million monthly to make power available to its cherished customers.

The company upon these reasons has declared their plans to embark upon the revenue mobilisation tomorrow 18th April 2023.

The management added that NEDCo in every month collects an average of Ghc85 million from its cherished customers and at this rate, NEDCo is unable to recoup an average GHc 35 million monthly.

They emphasised that, without an intervention like this exercise, NEDCOo will be doomed and the program will be used to check various forms of illegal connections and interference with the NEDCo network.
