J.H.B Hope Foundation NGO Donates Mechanized Borehole to Suhum Presec.

J.H.B Hope Foundation under Jesus House Baltimore, Maryland which is base in the USA in collaboration with ICGC Potter's Temple in Koforidua- Ghana, a Non-Governmental Organization, has donated a mechanised borehole to the Suhum Presbyterian Senior High School in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region.

This borehole donation has come at a time that will help solve the perennial water supply challenges of the students.

Rev. Samuel Opoku Darko, the Representative of J.H.B Hope Foundation in Koforidua speaking with Alrich24newsgh.com reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel, said the project was in response to a request made by the leadership of the School.

He said the J.H.B foundation under Jesus House Baltimore, Maryland, USA and ICGC Potter's Temple Koforidua has been working in the Eastern region enclave for more years to support the people in the area.

ICGC Potters Temple's partnership with the J.H.B foundation has provided more mechanized boreholes to the deprived communities in the area. He said, during a fact-finding mission to the community through, Rev. Samuel Opoku Darko, it came to light that water was one of the essential services the Presec School lacked.

Most communities shared water with reptiles, cattle and other animals, a situation which had health implications on the citizens, he added.

Rev. Samuel Opoku said, J.H.B Foundation was funding other projects, including the building of schools, medical and library facilities, and the drilling of boreholes in communities across the country.

He, therefore, urged the school authorities to take proper care of the facility to prolong its lifespan to benefit future generations.

He said, When the facilities are well carter for, it will serve as encouragement for the organization to embark on more projects within the schools.

As part of its social witnessing, the J.H.B Foundation and ICGC render social services such as the provision of potable water to meet the needs of its target population as a means of evangelism, thereby practicalising what the church preaches to draw all creation to God.

Water is life and Jesus Christ being the living water is expected to draw the beneficiaries to Christ, he added. HE indicated that the facility would reduce the workload on School children and enable them to get enough time to embark on their school activities.

Rev. Samuel used the parable of the talents to admonish the beneficiaries to maintain the system to serve other people.

The Headmaster of the Suhum Presbyterian Senior High School Mr K. A Aku Afare speak to Accra fm/CTV news reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel, expressing his gratitude to the donors and God for the opportunity to extend water to various schools.

He said the J.H.B Hope Foundation's efforts in providing safe water to schools were to assist the country in attaining Sustainable Development Goal Six, which is aimed at providing access to safe drinking water.

He prayed that they will take proper care of the facility. He said water was a major challenge in the school and expressed his happiness to J.H.B Hope Foundation.

He, therefore, thanked ICGC Temple and J.H.B. Hope Foundation for the gesture, adding that the borehole would help to reduce the pains students went through in search of potable water.

Some of the students expressed appreciation to the donors for the gesture. They will take proper care of the facility.
