Forget Money and Concentrate on the Music - Apostle Ernest Agyei Boateng Advised Young Artists.
Apostle Ernest Agyei Boateng, popularly known in the ministry as Prophet No Weapon has advised the upcoming musicians to concentrate on their music career than focus on money.
Speaking with Alrich24newsgh.com news reporter, Apelete Kofi-Michel on a short ceremony for a young lady who is a gospel musician called Oheneba Ama at Esutem Presbyterian Church in Fanteakwa South District of the Eastern Region, he said that in his view, gospel musicians should not expect monetary rewards after performing at shows since they are ministers of God.
In Ghana, the gospel is always given an entertainment approach which is wrong because the entertainment aspect of the gospel songs is very little so there is no way you can expect to make money.
Prophet No Weapon said circular musicians sing to praise people and themselves but gospel musicians sing to praise God therefore their character and attitude should reflect the nature of the God they seek to praise.
That’s why you hear circular musicians giving themselves titles but as for gospel musicians, they don’t do that because they are all servants of God.
Whether the circular musicians like it or not we are the ones who pray for God’s protection upon their lives, he added.
He concluded that there was nothing more entertaining and rewarding than having Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour.
He continues to advise young artists in the church to adhere to the process, he claims that God has called them to sing for the glory of God, not to compare how wealthy secular music has grown in the country. He, therefore, urged the pastors and popular musicians out there to help young people who have the talent to bring them out.
On his part, Nana Akomea Junior the NPP's first Vice chairman in Fanteakwa South who chairs the program also said Oheneba Ama is very good if it comes to singing a gospel song. He promised that he will do his part to do everything possible to help Oheneba Ama so that she can go far in her music career.
The young lady Oheneba Ama and the upcoming gospel musician hail from Esutam in Fanteakwa South in the Eastern Region in her appeal to the public called on them to help her go higher and achieve the best of her career.
