OVER 70 STUDENTS TO RECEIVE FUNDS FROM THE FAROUK ALIU MAHAMA EDUCATIONAL FUND IN YENDI TODAY.

The Farouk Aliu Mahama Educational Care Fund-(FAMEC-FUND), is a scholarship fund set up under the auspices of the Member of Parliament for Yendi, in the Northern Region Hon. Farouk Aliu Mahama is set to disburse scholarship funds to over 70 brilliant but needy students studying various courses in the tertiary rug of the educational ladder.


The honourable member scholarship fund has been instituted to cushion the beneficiary students in footing their academic user fees and other educational expenditure.


Hon Farouk Aliu Mahama as he promised on his election as MP for the area in 2020, instituted the FAMEC-FUND to support the education of particularly needy but brilliant constituents in the area.  


The presentation of funds is set to take place today at the Yendi Community Centre which will witness the attendance of all key stakeholders to enable the program a success.


Some of the beneficiary who is to benefit from the scholarship expressed their appreciation to the Member of Parliament for coming to the aid of the needy but brilliant students in the constituency.

The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area in the Berekum Municipal of the Bono Region Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II has passed on. The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum. A Student of Ghana National College from Sunyani-Chiraa Scores 8A's in 2023 WASSCE.  A Senior High Student of Ghana National College in Cape Coast, Owusu Peprah Priscilla who hails from Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region has also scored 8A's in the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).  Her effort and the results she obtained have brought great joy to her family and the people of Chiraa without hesitation wishing her congratulations on most of the social media platforms.
