The NDC National Chairman, Mr Johnson Asiedu Nkatia has said the current economic hardship has to be blamed on President Nana Akufo Addo and his Vice Dr Bawuah describing Nana Akufo Addo as the Covid 19 and Dr Bawumiah as Russia -Ukraine war as the two has always attributed our economic crises to these two challenges that are covid 19 and Russia-Ukrian war.

According to Mr Asiedu Nkatia who was opening the Berekum East Constituency Branch Office at Continental for the party today Sunday 26th February 2023, in the Bono Region said, this NPP government has incurred a lot of loans in the country which is overwhelming and is more than all the money combined that can be used to pay all the government workers salaries.

He said because the NPP government has brought a lot of hardship to the people of Ghana the government should bear with the people in the country and reduce the size of the government to save the country from the current situation.

He said the NDC MPs will still stand on their feet to resist the attempt by the government to add more ministers to the already oversized NPP government which is adding a lot of financial burden on the people.

He finally explained that the people of Berekum have been following NPP for years but have never seen any progress in the town it has been a hardship alone where the men of Berekum are now broke without anything to boast about.

Some of the NDC dignitaries that were present at the ceremony were the National Chairman Johnson Aseidu Nkatia, Bono Regional Chairman Mr Kojo Nymakye Marfo, Bono Regional Women's Organizer, Hajia Fatimatu Abubakar, Bono Regional Youth Organizer, Hon. Rashid Ahmed and other Regional Executives as well as the Berekum East Constituency Chairman Agya Hinneh and other constituency executives including the executive members of the Continental branch executives.
