Ghana National Fire Service Holds Indoor Fire Education for Church Members of Pentecostal Word Chapel.

The Berekum Officers of Ghana National Fire Service have held an indoor fire safety education for the congregation of Pentecostal Word Chapel at Jamdede in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region.


The fire Officers who through the invitation of the Founder and Leader of Pentecostal Word Chapel on the new year Sunday 1st January, 2023 took the congregation through some causes and prevention of common elements fire outbreak domestically.


According to them, the work of the Ghana National Fire Service is in many folds of the rescue mission of various disasters including fire outbreaks and emergency services such as snake or bee invasion of an environment or a house.


The officers explained that some of the common elements lead to fire disasters includes oxygen, heat and fuel. Adding that most domestic fires are caused by electrical appliances, gas and petrol. He, therefore, cautions the members to be very careful of their use of gas cylinders and other electronic devices in their homes to prevent themselves from fire outbreaks.


The congregation were urged to fix any loose contacts and short circuit of their electrical switches and plugs in their homes if any kind of such faults are found in their rooms. Curtains and children should not be close or accessible to any switches and plugs including under-carpet cable wires should be avoided. He said effective electrical wiring should be adopted in every home to avoid any unforeseen circumstances of fire since the economic situation in the country has been very high and we cannot afford to lose all our properties and belongings through fire outbreaks hence extra care must be taken to protect our hard-earned properties.


The Church members were advised to switch off all electrical appliances and gadgets whenever they are not in the house to avoid their switches catching fire in case of any transformer breakdown.


The fire officers were able to train the members on common domestic fire disaster control, especially on gas cylinders and fuel fire outbreaks on how to extinguish gas cylinders with your hand, cocoa sack or CO2 fire extinguisher to fight the fire in the house before the Ghana National Fire Service will be called in for assistance.

The founder and leader of Pentecostal Word Chapel, Apostle Gyasi Richard who officially invited the Fire Service Officers thanked the te for such a wonderful education to the members of the Church.


Apostle Gyasi who was excited about the education advised the Church members to make good use of the fire education received and urged them to extend the education received to the other members of their family to also benefit from what they have received from the officers.


Some of the members also expressed their appreciation to the team from the National Fire Service to educate them about the dangers of fire and common elements that may caused fire outbreak in their various homes and workplaces.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER.
