Assembly Member Honourable Yentumi Party With Orphans and Donates Undisclosed Amount of Money to Heart Smiles Children's Home.

The Assembly Member for Mpatuam West Electoral Area in the Amansie West District of the Ashanti Region, Honourable Frederick Kwadwo Nkansah popularly known as Honourable Yentumi, and a Businessman has donated food items and dined with orphans at the Heart Smiles Children’s Home at Manso-Akropong.


The charity, dubbed Yentumi New Year’s day with Children at The Heart Smiles Children’s Home on Monday, 2nd January 2023 enjoyed with the children at the home.


The gesture was part of the Honourable Yentumi's vision to put joy on the faces of the inmates of the orphanage homes as the world celebrates new year's day.


He donated food items such as bags of rice, one hundred creates of egg, rice, gari, sugar, and toiletries, as well as gallons of palm oil, gallons of oil and added an undisclosed amount of money to the Heart Smiles Organisation Children's Home at Manso-Akropong.


Speaking to the media, after the presentation of the items, Honourable Yentumi underscored that, “on this special New Year’s day, I saw it necessary to donate the food items worth twenty thousand Ghana cedi (GHs 20,000) to the homes as well to dine and drink with the orphans and to have a party with them, because they have no parents to do such kind of thing with them as children and realized that the move will put smiles on their faces,” he said.


He advised all individuals to make it a responsibility to cater for the vulnerable and orphans in the society.


According to him, the well-being of the inmates at children's homes should be their major priority to help promote their welfare through donations.


Receiving the items on behalf of the orphanage home, Mr Douglas Owusu, the Managing Director of the Home thanked the assembly member for his kind gesture to support the children.


Mr Douglas Owusu said, “we appreciate Honourable Yentumi’s effort and commend him a lot for what he always does for the children. 


He said, the Assembly Member has been our backbone and has donated several items to the home to relieve the burden at the home. We thank you so much for this donation and prayed to God for the life of the Assembly member".


He however seized the opportunity to plead with all stakeholders to always come and support the Children’s homes all the time.


He stated that about 10 of the inmates he raised are now in various tertiary institutions whilst others have completed Senior High School for this reason called on all individuals and the government to support the children from the home who are having their academic studies in various educational institutions.

Sunyani East, Kotokrom-New Dormaa Tarred Road Gets Second Seal. The ongoing construction of the major road of the New Dormaa-Kotokrom road in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region which was recently primer sealed for the final seal started today Saturday 16th March. 2024 to complete the one-sided of the road. Government has intention of asphalting that high way in the near future. For the mean tine it is being tarred to prepare grounds for an asphalt overlay.
