Wenchi Police Swoop Operations Lead to the Arrest of 8  Suspected Wee Smokers and a Lady.

The Ghana Police Service in Wenchi in the Bono Region has on Tuesday 6th December, 2022 around 6:35 pm conducted a swoop operation at a wee ghetto by name Kaamu, a suburb of Wenchi where wee smokers have taken their abode and terrorising people.


The structures where they were living were all burnt down by the Ghana National Fire Service.


Speaking to the CID, Mr Alhassan in Wenchi said, they had soo many calls from that area that, the wee people are disturbing them day and night who are causing so much harm to their lives hence the plans of the police to destroy their abode and arrested a number of them while others flee to the surrounding bushes in the area.


He added that the police were assisted by a different number of security men to undertake the operation but came without a car and surrounded the place which enable them to arrest 8 suspects of them including a lady.


Mr Alhassan said those arrested are now in the police cells in Wenchi for further investigation.
