Tano South Physically Challenge Parents Hail Municipal Chief Executive and President Nana Akufo Addo for Coming to their Aid.

Some physically challenge parents at Tano South Municipal of the Ahafo Region have hailed president Nana Akufo Addo's administration and the Municipal Chief Executive in the area, Honourable Collins Offenem Takyi for coming to their children's aid.


According to them, some parents of people with disabilities are suffering especially in terms of financial support some visually impaired people because they cannot go to work find it difficult to survive in these difficult times but they thank the President for providing financial access to their children.


Some disabled parents disclose this to Kojo Mframa after MCE and Municipal Social welfare Director, Gladys Zurri distributed items to several numbers of 61 people with disabilities in the Bechem over the weekend.


Some of the items include Refrigerators, Industrial Sawing Machines, Fufu Ponding Machines, Sheep, and Pimping Machines amongst other items.

The Municipal Chief Executive ( MCE) for the area, Honourable Collins Offenem Takyi used the opportunity to explain that, for the past four years, about 250 persons with disabilities have so far benefited from the Assembly distribution of items physically challenged persons and have also played a lot of school fees for others under the New Patriotic Party's NPP administration and promised the remaining disabilities will also benefit from the People With Disability (PWD) fund.


He added that the mode of distributing items to the person with disabilities in the country is helping the beneficiaries, especially from past experiences in the deprived areas.


The beneficiaries were therefore advised to make good use of the items received for their benefits to maintain them for long use.

BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL ACCEPT EIGHT GAZETTED CHIEFS

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. A number of eight (8) Chiefs in the Berekum Traditional Area have performed their oaths of secrecy to be gazetted as the divisional chiefs of Berekum Traditional Council. The chiefs, numbering 8, got their titles as "Osaberima" to be added to their traditional and rulership names. A high court judge, Justice Baayeh, on the 6th day of November 2018, led the chiefs to sworn in the oaths of secrecy before a certificates of recognition was issued to the chiefs as a divisional chiefs. The gazetted 8 chiefs has been granted the opportunity and right to be part of any sittings of the traditional council and by so doing, all the 8 chiefs have been approved by the government of Ghana to be part of the judicial committee of the Berekum Traditional Council. Berekum Omanhene Nana Kofi Asante Krobea has officially been nominated today at Manhyia Palace by the Omanhemaa of Berekum Nana Akosua Ameyaahene II.
