Fiapre Paramount Chief Celebrate Education Festival and 5th Anniversary of His Enstoolment.

The Paramount Chief of Fiapre in the Sunyani West Municipal of the Bono Region, Obrempong Professor Kyem Amponsah has held an education festival in honour of the 5th anniversary of the celebration of his enstoolment.


The occasion which was under the theme, "Promoting and Sustaining Quality Education, the Legacy of Progressive Chief", Obrempong Professor Amponsah called on the Ghanaian youth to embrace education which is the bedrock of every society.


According to him, the importance of education can not be over emphasised hence he is ready to make Fiapre an educational hub in the Bono Region and for that matter the country as a whole since they can boast of two tertiary institutions as well as other secondary and basic schools in the town.


Obrempong Professor Amponsah commended the government for the introduction of free education to broaden the gap between the literate and the illiterate and tasked the youth to go all out to achieve the academic standards set ahead of them in life.


The Chief together with his queen mother Nana Ama Saa Susubribi II were paid homage by the near and far citizens of Fiapre to celebrate with Obrempong on his 5th anniversary.


The dignitaries that were present to grace the occasion include traditional leaders, academicians, politicians, clergy and among many others including students.

THE SKY TRAIN SAGA—WIld Goose Chase. The Sky Train project which received considerable media coverage during Nana Akufo-Addo’s regime has resurfaced.
