Omanhene of Suhum Calls on Government Over Lack Developmental Projects-  Omanhene Osabarima Ayeh Kofi ll.

The Omanhene of Suhum in the Eastern Region, Osabarima Ayeh Kofi ll has called on the government and investors to come and help develop Suhum.

He said the wish of the Suhum Traditional Council is to see and witness the rapid development in all spheres of life within and around the Suhum Municipality and its surrounding villages.

He said they are expecting rapid development in all areas of the town most especially in good roads, schools, hospitals, markets, and water just to mention a few.

In his speech took the opportunity to plead and beg all well-meaning investors both overseas and within Ghana to consider Suhum as their first destination for any meaningful investment due to its manpower and strategic location of this beautiful town called Suhum.

The paramount chief made this statement during the Suhum Odwira festival celebration which was under the theme, "Unity and Development."

The chief calling on investors to come and invest in Suhum said, the citizens are very hard working and have a positive attitude towards work, adding that, the location of Suhum is strategic for every kind of legitimate business.

He explained that It takes a maximum of 15 minutes to drive from Suhum to Koforidua the regional Capital and 45 minutes to drive to the National Capital of Ghana which is Accra.

He pleaded that anyone planning to invest in Ghana and sitting the location at Suhum will never waste their investment in both the private sector and the central government to assist the youth of Suhum in securing jobs since the devil finds work for the idle hands.

The Suhumhene Osabarima Ayeh Kofi ll said the Suhum Traditional Council wants to appeal to all parents to ensure that all their school-going wards or kids are found in school during school hours so that they can also benefit from the success stories of the free Senior High School the government has initiated

He, therefore, appeal to the central government to consider establishing a polyclinic in the Municipality since the current population has outweighed their existing district hospital in the town and called on the people to pay heed to their health issues and ensure they visit the hospital regularly.

The Vice President of Ghana Dr Mamudu Bawumia who witnessed the Suhum Odwira festival, said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) led government by President Nana Akufo Addo has done a lot of infrastructure projects within 6 years and no government has constructed roads more than the NPP government as well as schools, one village one dam, water projects, one district one factory, hospitals and interchanges.

He added that he knows things are hard, like petrol increase, and lorry fares, but very soon things would turn around for Ghanaians so they should continue to support the government since they are working to fix things.

The Member of Parliament for Suhum Constituency Honourable Kwadwo Oboafo Asante also said the good people of Suhum should continue to support the government because the NPP government is doing everything possible to bring the economy back into a truck.
