Artisans Association of Ghana Lunches 10th Anniversary Celebration in Kumasi.

The Artisans Association of Ghana has launched their 10th Anniversary celebration in Kumasi which was under the theme: "Artisans the Backbone of the Economy."


As part of their celebration, a lot of activities were undertaken during the 10th anniversary including a Health walk, a Training workshop, Awards Night And Musical Concert to climax the Occasion.


Some of the dignitaries invited include Chiefs, Board Members of the Artisan Association and the association members gathered in Kumasi to celebrate the 10th Anniversary.


Alrich24newsgh.com reporter Sofomame Frema Ototatuo Bossman in an interview with the National President of the Artisan Association of Ghana, Mr Gideon Bidor said that the Artisans Association of Ghana plays a significant role in the job creation for the youth in the country, so the government needs to support the association in other to train more artisans to create employment opportunities for people in the country.

Me. Gideon Bidor emphasised that the government alone cannot do it all and will need the support of the informal sector to help develop the country through industrialisation. The Artisans are playing their part, but need the government's support and intervention to accomplish the growth of their work to attract more youth into the informal sector, he said.


He continued, "since the government has introduced free education to educate the young ones in the formal education sector, equally the same attention must be given to the informal sector to support the Artisan Association of Ghana and others who are ever ready to help in job  creation drive to employ the youth in the country," 


Mr Bidor added that Ghanaians must develop a taste for locally manufactured goods and patronise them to serve as a means of stalling the depreciation of the cedi and doing that could help stabilize the cedi that has lost its value to the dollar.


Mr Gideon Bidor expressed his appreciation to CTVET, DTI, Ghana Chamber of Construction Industries, and Fabrimetal among others for their support exhibited during the occasion.


He finally advised their members to serve their customers with truthfulness, reliability, customer satisfaction, respect, customer care and diligence to attract more customers.

THE SKY TRAIN SAGA—WIld Goose Chase. The Sky Train project which received considerable media coverage during Nana Akufo-Addo’s regime has resurfaced.
